Aug 5, 1937 - Apr 18, 2021 Mark Bradley Pepys, 83, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 18 at his home in Rancho Palos Verdes. Mark was born in Los Angeles, California, the son of Eric and Mary Pepys. He was one of six children: Eric (deceased), Noel (deceased), Christine, Mary Noel and Keith. He grew up in San Marino and graduated from UC Berkeley and UC Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law. After law school, Mark joined Schell & Delamer, where he became a partner. He later became Of Counsel to Prindle, Decker and Amaro. He was a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, American Board of Trial Lawyers and the American College of Trial Lawyers. He thoroughly enjoyed practicing law and was the embodiment of a true professional, a skillful and honorable lawyer and a gentleman. Mark married the love of his life, Anne. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last July. Mark is survived by his wife, Anne, and their two grown children, Craig and Kirsten. He adored his three grandchildren, Allison, Alexis and Tyler and always looked forward to spending time with them. Mark enjoyed playing the tenor saxophone and listening to jazz music, often frequenting live music at The Lighthouse Caf‚ in Hermosa Beach and attending jazz festivals. He enjoyed traveling on vacation to Hawaii, Tahiti, Caribbean, and the East Coast to see the fall leaves. Mark was an avid reader, read the bible daily and enjoyed intellectual discussions as a member of Omnilore. Mark was also a longtime member of Ascension Lutheran Church and the Palos Verdes Sunset Rotary Club. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Palos Verdes Sunset Rotary Club and the Palos Verdes Symphonic Band.

Mark studied saxophone and jazz improvisation with me. I looked forward to our weekly meetings. He would always bring in something interesting to look at or listen to. I greatly appreciated his enthusiasm and love for jazz. With sympathy. Steve Catalano

Mark and I worked together at the Schell and Delamer law firm. We were also roomates in Manhattan Beach before we each got married. Mark was very athletic and a great volley ball player. I have many memories of the laughs and good times we had together when we would double date. He was very happy when he married Anne. My wife and I enjoyed getting together with both of them.
