Apr. 27, 1928 - March 25, 2021 Surrounded by the love of his family, our beloved Father, Grand Father, Great Grandfather, Great-Great Grandfather, Brother and Uncle passed away peacefully on March 25, 2021. Pedro (also known as 'Pete') was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and served honorably in the US Army prior to moving to San Pedro, California in 1952. He retired from the Long Beach Naval Shipyard after a long 32 year career before starting his second career, working 10 years at the local preschool. Pete was a devoted family man and a faithful member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. He will be remembered for his card playing skills, his warmth, kindness and sense of humor by his friends in the Toberman's Seniors Club, where he served as Sergeant of Arms for many years. He will be forever cherished and missed by his children, Diana Bejarano (Victor) and Patsy Gonzales (Todd); 12 grandkids, Ona, Veronica, Rebecca (Michael), Mickie, Angie, Nicole, Robert (Sugey), Daniel (Anita), Freddie, Annalisa (Jerry), Corinna (Will) and Toni (Luis); 28 great grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren and niece Kathy (Cesar). Pete will also be missed by his sisters, Antonia, Lupe, Lenora and Juanita, sister-in-laws Rita and Edwina as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Pete is predeceased by his beloved wife Maria, his parents Trinidad and Emiliano, his brothers Donaciano, Joe, and Luis, sisters Victoria, Basilia, and Tessie, his son Jesus and his great grandson Hector. A funeral mass service is scheduled for 12:00 pm on April 5 at St. Peter's Catholic Church (575 W. O'Farrell, San Pedro) with graveside services immediately following at Green Hills Memorial Park.
