He served 4 years in the Marine Corps and Navy. Sam worked several years for IBM where he met and married his first love, Betty Bartlett. After leaving IBM he spent the next 20 years as a recruiter for top technical companies in Southern CA. His interests included family, golf, tennis, stocks, and reading. Sam was very health conscientious, from his diet to exercising. Until his late 80's, Sam could be seen just about every day, walking the steep hills of Palos Verdes, to the local library. Mr. Wallace is survived by his 3 sons and daughter, Bart, John, Wendy and Bill, as well as his sister Dale Wallace. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the PV Library and/or the Norris Theatre, where he volunteered.
