Mrs. Trina Della Gatta was a fantastic teacher during my four years at Lawndale High School. My writing skills were terrible. Through her dedicated efforts in working with me I was able to bring my grade. But it was not only me helped, she treated all students the same to whatever level they needed to raise their grade. She was respected by students and staff alike. Mrs. Della Gatta was highly talented and a true professional. She will be sorely missed by all who ever interacted with her.

Mrs Della Gatta was a lifesaver for me! I had always struggled in school and had asked numerous times for help. In my junior year Mrs Della Gatta heard my story and helped me immediately ! I will never forget how she changed my life! My thoughts and prayers go out to her family .❤

Joanna and Carla,

Im so sorry to learn about your mothers passing. Although we lost touch after we both retired from CVUHSD, I have never forgotten her.

I will always remember the times we spent just talking, having coffee, the shopping trips, etc. She was alway so proud of the two of you.

Your mom was a wonderful teacher and a wonderful mentor for me. She also was a wonderful friend.

Please take comfort in the fact that she was loved and is now in the arms of the Lord.

May the love of friends comfort you right now,

Trina was a champion of many causes, and many people. I had the privilege of teaching with her at Lawndale High for a decade, and at Leuzinger for another. It was always a delight to see her again in the following years at Class Reunions, and when visiting with friends. Trina was one of the most loyal people I ever knew. She loved her daughters and grandchildren to distraction, and will be missed by all of us. My deepest condolences to the family. May you Rest In Peace, Trina. Love you, Aline
