Gladys Earle Rhea MarchbanksGladys Marchbanks, 90, of Logan, New Mexico, passed away in her sleep on Sunday December 20, 2020. She was born in Lubbock, Texas, on October 20, 1930 to Stanton and Edna Rhea. When she turned twenty, she married Maurice Marchbanks of Lubbock. They were married for fifty-eight years when Maurice passed away in 2008. She was raised a Baptist and for the past eleven years has belonged to the First Baptist Church of Logan.
Each year from November to February, she worked with pecans from the orchard she and Maurice planted in 1974. She was also a big fan of Logan High School football and basketball and followed them online.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; in-laws, R.M. and Bessie Lee Marchbanks; her great grandson, Breckin Reidhead; her niece, Vickie Poe Gowens; her two sisters and their husbands, Alfred and Kay Poe and Donald and Patricia Krebbs.
She is survived by her son, Bobby of Logan; daughter and son-in-law, Elwanda and Dean Reidhead of Heber, AZ; four grandchildren, Michele (Jim) Conway of Peoria, AZ, Michael (Angela) Reidhead of Heber, AZ, Mitchell (Leanna) Reidhead of Heber, AZ, Megan (Darcy) Hunt of Maricopa, AZ; and seventeen great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday, December 31, at 2:00pm, Texas time at Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock, TX and local arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home in Tucumcari, NM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tucumcari Home Health and Hospice at 301 E. Miel de Luna, Tucumcari NM, 88401.

For everyone her knew her, loved her. I am honored and very blessed to have her as my grandma. She will be missed but I am secure in my knowing she loved Jesus and is alive and well with Him and someday I will be with her again.
