Mary McGowan Obituary

Mary Frances McGowan passed away November 17, 2021 at the age of 91. She was born in Big Spring, Texas. She married Ronald E McGowan on October 30, 1948. He preceded her in death June 17, 1991.
Also preceding her were her parents Daniel and Elon Oglesby, a step mother Helen Splain Oglesby, a brother Reverend Daniel Oglesby, Jr. and her sister Fredda Nell Fedrick, a beloved double-first cousin Reverend Frank Oglesby, and a nephew Reverend Wayne Oglesby.
She was a member of First United Church since 1956 and was active in Communion Service, Senior Adult Committee, and Pastoral Care Committee.
Mary's work career included 9 years with Conoco Oil , 24 years with Marathon Oil, 3 years in Civil Service at Holloman Air Force Base, and 12 years with Wells Fargo.
She is survived by her daughter Rhonda Welch, Rhonda's husband Gary of Logan NM, two grandsons, Mark Welch of Amarillo, TX, James Welch and his wife Stephanie of Rio Rancho, NM and their children Zachary, Chelsea, Andrew and Isabella. Also, a half-brother Mike Oglesby and two nieces.
Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 30th at the Logan Cemetary.
