EAST MOLINE-Carl Naylor Pearsall, 92, of East Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, December 05, 2018 at home. Services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Peace Lutheran Church, Port Byron. Visitation will be 10-11am prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Friedens Lutheran Cemetery, Port Byron. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Peace Lutheran Church or the .

Carl was born January 9, 1926 in Hillsdale, Illinois, the son of Robert and Winifred (Lawrence) Pearsall. He graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1944. He married Irene F. Niedfelt on November 19, 1948 in Ithaca, NE. He served our country honorably in the National Guard. Carl farmed with his dad and in Madison County, IA. He earned his accounting degree in Lincoln, NE and in 1960 came to Moline to work for John Deere. He worked various jobs, including selling real estate, insurance, and at the Mark, and ended his career at East Moline Correctional Center, retiring in 1991.

Carl was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. He was an auditor for South Moline Township, a member of Zal Grotto in Moline, and a 50 year member of the Illinois Masons. He enjoyed traveling and camping with his wife.

Carl is survived by his wife, Irene; children, Betty Breon, SC, Kenneth (Cherrie) Pearsall, MT, Shirley (Garry) Rhoades, TX, Gary (Ina) Pearsall, Moline; siblings, Francis (Janet Roy) Pearsall, KY, Neta Belle (LeRoy) Niedfelt, WI; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lawrence, Elmer, and John Pearsall; and great-grandson, Timothy Murphy. Share a memory or condolence at www.gibsonbodefh.com.
