William "Bill" W. Case

October 3, 1941-December 3, 2018

CORDOVA-William "Bill" W. Case, 77, of Cordova, Illinois, died Monday, December 3, 2018 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport, IA. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 7, 2018 at Gibson – Bode Funeral Home, Port Byron. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Courageous, Monticello, IA.

Bill was born October 3, 1941 in Moline, IL, the son of Robert and Bertha (Allen) Case. He married Lois A. Uhlig on October 24, 1980 in Galena, IL. He was a 1959 graduate of Riverdale High School and received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Dubuque in 1964. Bill was drafted into the US Army and served honorably, earning a Purple Heart, and becoming an artillery combat veteran of Vietnam. He worked for the US Postal Service until his retirement in 2002.

Bill was a life time resident of Cordova, living along the river. In his younger days, he enjoyed racing outboard hydroplanes. He was baptized at Cordova Baptist Church, served on the Fire Protection District Board for 15 years, and was a Past President and member of the Bi-state Volkswagen Club.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lois; sons, Eric (Cindy) Case, Robert (Paige) Case, Matthew Case, all of Cordova; and grandchildren, Ashley, Sadie, and Charlie Case. He was preceded in death by his parents. Share a memory or condolence at www.gibsonbodefh.com
