Margie was born February 8, 1932, on a farm between Frankford and Center to Ed (Buck) and Ava Margaret Nelson Riechard.
She married Floyd Edward Hamilton in Auxvasse, Mo., on August 7, 1949.
Survivors include two sons: Steven E. (Debby) Hamilton and their son Eric E. Hamilton of Frankford, and Donald W. (Marilyn) Hamilton of Bowling Green, and their sons, Dustin M. (Courtney) Hamilton and Andrew C. Hamilton and fiancée, Heather Hampton. Also surviving: one sister, Lilie Ann (Robert) Galloway of Hannibal, and one brother, Donald E. (Katherine) Riechard of Georgia and Margie's in-laws, Dean (Linda) Hamilton and Joan Hamilton of Frankford, and John (Edie) Hamilton of Hannibal, and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, September 24, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Harry E. and Lottie May Hamilton and one brother, Jimmie Lee Riechard.
Margie was a loving wife and mother and also an aide and secretary for Bowling Green R-1 School District for 31 years, taking care of both Frankford and Curryville Schools at the Frankford Campus. The Spirit of Frankford Extension Club chose Margie to represent them as a Missouri Merit Mother, which was an exciting honor. She loved all the students that she worked with at school and missed them so much that when she retired, she became a volunteer aide to give extra help to any students who needed it.
She also was an active project leader for 4-H, working with many students on crafts and flowers. She was active in PTA and Band and Choral Boosters. She and her family have been very active members in Frankford Presbyterian Church, where she has served as an elder, Clerk of Session, Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher, Bible School Director and teacher, and director of the annual Christmas program before her health failed.
Margie will be remembered as the "life of everything", full of mischief and fun! She loved all kinds of crafts and for many years, she arranged wildflowers each Sunday for her church. She was such a devoted and fun mother and grandmother, always putting her family first. She absolutely loved the Christmas season and was famous for her Christmas trees and "open-houses", where many of the decorations were handmade by her.
The family requests no flowers or food, but would appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Memorials may go to Frankford Presbyterian Church in care of Bibb-Veach Funeral Home.

Margie was definitely a "one of a kind" lady. She had so many talents and boundless energy with a caring and loving heart. I respected and loved her dearly. I know she now has her place in heaven with Floyd.

Oh I just loved Mrs. Hamilton. Her smile was the 1st thing I saw when I got to school and usually the last thing I saw before I left. Walking into Frankford Elementary years later after her retirement, well it just felt like something was missing. You can't even imagine how uplifting that smile meant to a kid going through a rough time. My memory of her is tucked away in a special place in my heart. Got me through many a rough day. My prayers and condolences to the family. She was one in a million.
