Eleanor Andersen, age 95 years and 10 months, went home to be with the Lord and loved ones gone before her on Saturday,

December 22, 2018, at her residence in Pottsville, Pa.

Prior to living in Pottsville, she resided in Myerstown, Pa., for 19 years.

Eleanor was born February 22, 1923, at her

grandmother's home in Benton, Pa. She spent the majority of her growing up years in Berks County, graduating from Shillington High School in 1941.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her loving husband, Christian Andersen; parents, the late Hayden and Reta Williams; her brother, Robert Williams; and the father of her children, Elton Huntzinger. She was also preceded in death by one unborn grandchild; and four

great-grandchildren.

Eleanor's name means "Shining Light, Bright One" and that she has been as the Matriarch of her beloved family. Her family and friends were the loves of her life and she will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Bonnie Huntzinger of Hanover, Pa.; daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Michael Harwood, of Loudon, Tenn., and Michele and Jim Williams, of Schuylkill Haven, Pa.; her stepdaughter, Paula Andersen Dwyer and her

husband, Jim, of Sellersville, Pa. Eleanor also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Tom (Janet) Huntzinger, Amy Goodfellow, Missy (Stacy) Lowery, Heather (Karl) Ashby, Laura (Travis) Sawyer, Adam (Macady) Harwood,

Christopher (Lauren) Garges and Jeremy (Michelle) Garges; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2

great-great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her beloved brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Kathy

Williams (Willow Street, Pa.); her cherished sister and brother-in-law, RuthAnn and Lewis Disque (Sinking Spring, Pa.); and her longtime friend and former

sister-in-law, Louise Huntzinger Rawlinski. There are also many nieces and nephews who loved to visit and listen to Eleanor's words of wisdom, stories, corny jokes and

one-liners.

As much as Eleanor did not understand modern-day technology, she was actually on the forefront of the

computer era, working as a keypunch operator and various data processing departments over the years. Her last

employer was Amchem Products in Ambler, Pa. She was with them for 17 years before retiring in 1985.

Eleanor met Christian (Chris) at Amchem and they

married on June 16, 1978. Together they lived in Telford, Eagles Mere, Muncy, and Myerstown, Pa. During her

retirement years, Eleanor enjoyed being a hospital

volunteer and various other groups.

On January 5, Eleanor's family will be having a

celebration service followed by her burial in Benton, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, her children suggest a donation to in her memory, or her favorite charity, which was founded by her granddaughter and

grandson-in-law, Laura and Travis Sawyer, missionaries in Kenya, East Africa. Straight Up Missions, P.O. Box 460 Robbinsville, NC 28771.
