Richard P. Goodman, 91, of Spring

Township, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late

Dorothy M. (DeJoseph) Goodman.

Born in Reading, Pa., he was the son of the late William I. and Agnes (Klemmer) Goodman.

Richard was an active member of the VFW Post #38 Hunter Liggett in Reading and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as an assistant

foreman in the Forging Department at Baldwin Hardware for 28 years, retiring in 1989.

Richard is survived by his two daughters, Bonnie M. Stubblebine, wife of Keith, and Susan M. Moyer, wife of

Andrew, both of West Wyomissing; five grandchildren: Erika, Kaitlin, Chris, Austin and Andy; and one great-grandchild, Karson. Also, two brothers, Norman W. Goodman, Reading, and Earl Goodman, both deceased; two sisters, Doris M. Reiter, Phoenixville, and Jean Allen, Muhlenberg Township. He spent many days with his furry companion, Bentley.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. in Lutz Funeral Home Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Reading. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
