Marie Ann Kasper Marie Ann Kasper, 90, of Wyomissing, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 3, surrounded by her family. Marie was born in Reading, PA, July 17, 1930, the daughter of the late Anna (Starr) and Edward Tobias. She was the loving and devoted wife of Eugene Kasper, recently celebrating 71 years of marriage in August 2020 Marie enjoyed a variety of activities that allowed her to express her artistic abilities and her creative touch. One of her first jobs was as a window designer/decorator on Penn Street, Reading, PA. Later she established a thriving business as a self-employed beauty consultant for 60 years selling the Fashion Two Twenty cosmetic line and then “Touch of Marie,” her own personal line. She was very active in the local art community and taught painting classes through many venues. She appreciated the beauty in nature and skillfully captured countless landscapes in her award winning paintings. Her paintings were widely exhibited locally, most recently in the Muhlenberg Township Art Gallery. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed downtime relaxing on her garden swing. She always welcomed a companion to share the beautiful array of her plantings. Those who knew Marie best would say she was generous with enthusiastic hugs, was a competitive 500 rummy player, and fancied Dove dark chocolates (a fact of which her family was well aware--especially her grandchildren). She was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1948, and a long time member of Nativity Lutheran Church in Reading. More recently she was a member of Kissinger Church in Wyomissing. Throughout her life she was active in her community serving as a Sunday school teacher, Camp Fire Girl Leader, and a volunteer in her children’s schools. Marie is survived by her husband, Eugene Kasper; three daughters, Lynnée, wife of Tom Lance, Gloucester, MA; Tamara, wife of Lloyd Shirk, Fleetwood, PA; Gretchen, wife of Rick Goolsby, Lake Orion, MI. Also eight grandchildren, Andrea Lance Weaver and Colleen Lance of MA; Tiffany DeLillo Palmertree, Taron DeLillo Herrera, and Kalyn DeLillo, all of PA; Nicole, Eric, and Jonathan Goolsby of MI; ten great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Tobias of AZ. Marie was predeceased by an infant daughter, Renée; a sister, Elizabeth Storch; and two brothers, Jesse and Edward Tobias. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
