Obituary Condolences

Karen Burke Karen has joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven. She passed on Monday, September 3, 2018. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, but her family moved to California when she was a baby and she was a resident of Lake County for many years. She attended Upper Lake High School, where she was well involved in the community, and voted Miss Congeniality while competing in the Miss Lake County Contest. Karen's ministry in life was spreading the Lord's love and particularly with those in bereavement and addiction, and she was well known for her kind and loving attitude towards all others. She greatly loved her children and grandchildren. Karen was well loved and will be missed greatly. She was predeceased by her mother, Joyce Verussio, and father, Edward Frances Burke. She is survived by her three children, Desiree Studer, Branum Spliethof, and Connally Spliethof (Megan); her ten grandchildren, Elliana, Abigail, Branum Jr, Kacelah, Isabelle, Madilynn, Ruth, Shanell, Emmanuel, and Tristan; as well as her sisters, Sherry Marie and Susan Rinder (Bill); aunt, Carolyn Burke; nephews, George Butler and Liam Roberts; nieces, Alicia Adams (Robert), Brandy Roberts and Lilly Butler; and cousins, Debi Burke, Donna Weiss (Robert), and David Burke Jr. (Lorna.) There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, September 22, at 11 a.m. at the home of Susan and Bill Rinder, 10531 A East Rd, Witter Springs, for all who wish to celebrate Karen's life.
