Louise M. Cartwright (Morrison) Louise M. Cartwright (Morrison) passed away in her home on September 2, 2018. She was born in Upper Lake, October 27, 1938, and lived most of her life in Upper Lake. She lived a short time in San Francisco and San Mateo where she met Bob Cartwright. They married November 30, 1957. Louise is survived by her husband, Bob Cartwright, and their three children, Gina Gibson of Phoenix, Jim Cartwright of Santa Rosa and Brenda Moran of Menlo Park. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Ann Hewett Fritz of Albany, CA, a nephew, niece and two grandchildren. Louise had several careers working in Lakeport. She worked for the Lake County Library, in its original location, Library Park in Lakeport. She worked for the Lake County Social Services Department for many years then moving onto the State of California Employment Development Department where she retired in 2001. Louise also volunteered for several organizations. She gave her time and expertise to the Lake County Historical Society and was president in the late 1980s and early 1990s. She was a member of the Konocti Quilters and Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild. She also worked for the Lake County Fair board of directors. Louise loved quilting, needlepoint, gardening, canned what she grew, and cooked 1001 dishes with an abundance of zucchini from her garden. She and Bob traveled to many locations to fish and Louise would catch the majority of fish. Louise also loved to read, attend the theater and made the best walnut pie from the family recipe. Louise is interred in the family plot in Upper Lake Cemetery. Her family gathered for a ceremony at the burial site. In honor donations can be made to the .
