Gary Sweeney Obituary
Survivors include his wife, Alice Sweeney; his mother, Mary Rose Sweeney; his children, Stephen Edward (Bailey) Sweeney, Staff Sgt. Michael Jeremy (Holly) Sweeney; his brother and sister-in-law, Ed (Renae) Sweeney; his sister and brother-in-law, Darlene (Jim) Gugliotti; and other relatives.
Memorial services will be Saturday, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. at Cumming Baptist Church in Cumming, Ga. Celebration of Life to follow after service in Alpharetta, Ga. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be made at www.ingramfuneralhome.com.

Gary was one of the best people I have ever known. He was smart, funny, and helped me so much as an Underwriter with Harleysville. I learned a lot from him. He also made me mad at times and loved that he did. He would laugh and tell me to grow up. Lol. He was so proud of his family and we could be in a meeting or anything and if his wife called, he took that call. He told me many times how lucky he was and how proud. I lost my husband last year to cancer and now we have lost Gary as well. It seems the good ones go way too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Gary was more than just an Underwriter to me. We grew so close during the years since I have been with Morstan. He was truly a great person. He will surely be missed. My thought and prayers go out to his entire family. Rest in peace Gary!
