I worked w/Jean @ G&H for 2 1/2 yrs. Although we were the same age, he had a lot more experience in the trade, & he was always willing to help me as I ran into problems. When G&H was sold, I went to WI Clark & he to SCSU. He would send machines to our shop so I still saw him on occasion & we’d talk about the old shop & our former coworkers. Probably I hadn’t seen him in a couple of years when I got the news... He was always full of life & I’m so sorry that he isn’t w/us any more, my thoughts & prayers are w/you.

My condolences to Vicky, Ajay, Brittney, Eva, and also to oncle Jean’s siblings, family and friends. Watch over us all.

Love you et je pense fort à toi xxx

Dear Oncle Jean,

My first memories of you are when you were carrying me in your arms everywhere, in New-Brunswick, Canada.
Over the years, I got to know this special oncle that was always optimistic and smiling man with good family values, a hardworker always ready to help , unstoppable , even by knew technologies like FB and messenger, that you were using regularly to communicate with me, in French, your mother tongue that you never stopped using. Our videomessengers made me feel like if I was sitting next to you in your living room in Meriden and me, in Montréal (it was like a family gathering).

Oncle Jean, I am sure you are with your loved ones up there that preceded you
At the sametime, I know you will always be there to protect and guide your family.

RIP, Oncle Jean but keep having fun up there; that is how I will think about you.

With love,
Your niece Ginette Pelletier (and family) xxxxx

My deepest condolences to Vicky, Brittney, Ajay, Ava and Cali, and sister, brothers, family and friends.

Where to start..... my father was my absolute hero. He did everything to keep us safe and happy and ALWAYS had everyone’s best interest at heart! No matter the day, he would be humming or singing and always made us laugh. He helped everyone who needed it, a lot of times without being asked. Smart, helpful, caring, funny but most of all, selfless. Never complained and just tried to enjoy life, his cars, his family here and in Canada. I don’t care who you were, you couldn’t help but like him. Always greeted by a “Yo or Yazoo”. He loved his SCSU buddies and visited often after retirement as if he still worked there, but I know they missed him as well. Dad, you left big shoes to fill but an even bigger imprint on this earth!!!!! Love you forever!!!! ❤❤

Jean Pelletier was the ABSOLUTE BEST Grandfather he could be to me, Brittney and Ava. He loved us all so much, he did everything that he could for him and his family. He was a great man with a great attitude at all times, if you knew him you’d probably always remember him smiling and whistling all the time and making funny jokes with everyone. My grandfather and I had a bond like no other, I have a ton of memories that I will never forget, I’m so thankful you just came to visit me in Miami Beach, Florida for our birthdays, we spent our birthdays together just like how we use to do it and it was the best gift just having my grandfather in FL, love him so much and I will miss him. May he Rest In Peace❤

Mr. Pelletier was a big part of my childhood. I was good friends with his son Ricky when we were little and grew up on Liberty Street. He was always a good guy. As an adult I used to talk to him all the time at McDonalds on East Main, and we had many great conversations as I got older. He always talked about his children and always asked about my brother Danny. I was just thinking about him the other day and today I see this. Very sad. RIP Mr Pelletier......You finally get to see Ricky now....tell him that I said hello.

Dearest Vicky, Ajay, Brittany and Ava. I am so terribly sorry to hear about Uncle Jean. I'm sorry for the sadness and sorrow you are feeling. Please take comfort in knowing that he truly was "one of the good ones"! I loved his relationship with my father and I loved their history together. I do believe there is a special place in heaven for them, the "good ones" and they are now without pain, worry or sickness. I know your Dad and grandfather loved all of you so very much and was very proud of his family. Sending you hugs and love. Karen (Nadeau) Siciliano.

Vick- your dad was one of those people who do not come around very often. He had life figured out, love for his family, hardworking, all with an awesome sense of humor! Let those memories guide you and help you get through the days ahead. HE would want that for you and your family, be strong and continue his legacy in his honor.
