Edward Tessman Obituary
Edward was born in Hartford, and was the son of Betty (Trott) Tessman of New Britain, and the late Robert K. Tessman. He worked as an Electronic Technician for Total Communications in East Hartford. Ed was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Britain, and enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and the family camp on North Twin Lake since childhood.
In addition to his mother, Betty, Edward is survived by his wife, Arlene L. Tessman of North Haven; his two brothers, Matthew Tessman of New Britain, and Donald Tessman and his wife, Elizabeth of Southmayd, Texas; his two sisters, Nancy Serrano and life partner, Robert Novack of Plainville, and Carolyn Stefens of East Millinocket, Maine; and several nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral rites for Ed will be held Thursday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 295 Arch St., New Britain, with the Rev. Frank J. Meleschnig, presiding. Committal service and final resting place will be in Fairview Cemetery, Smalley St., New Britain. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker/Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Directions to funeral home: I-84 East or West - Exit 37 (Fienemann Road) Right off exit - one mile down on right. Memorial donations may be made to: Dept. of Inland Fisheris and Wildlife - Maine Warden Service, 2468 Ohio St., Bangor, Maine 04401
Ed, we miss you dearly and will cherish the memories.

To the Tessman Family. Iworked with Ed everyday and we had good times and many laughs together. I will miss him a lot. I am sorry but I was out of state for the services and was not able to attend but Ed was in my thoughts and prayers. I will definately miss him at work, it surely will not be the same without Ed's smile and stories.

Those of us who knew Ed at Thermatool Corp. in East Haven were overcome with sadness when we heard of Ed's untimely passing.
