Richard C. Tompkins Obituary
Richard C. "Rick" Tompkins, 51, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018 at Hartford Hospital after a short illness. Born in Meriden on Aug. 23, 1967, he was the son of Lynn L'Heureux Karsky and Kim Karsky and the late Richard D. Tompkins.

Mr. Tompkins attended Berlin schools and was an avid fisherman and Oakland Raiders and New York Mets fan. Rick was well known in the restaurant arena, especially for his crab cakes.

Besides his mother and father, he is survived by his daughters, Chloe Tompkins and her partner, Teddy Kuhn, Mia Tompkins and her partner, AJ Hendrickson, and Grace Tompkins; and a son, Alex Tompkins. He is also survived by his sister, Alicia Karsky; a brother, Gregg Karsky and his wife, Ewelina; a niece, Yana Karsky; and several cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels, Holy Angels Campus, 585 Main St., South Meriden. Everyone is asked to gather directly at the church. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E.
