I was sad to hear that Glenda had passed. I met her & Troy at Kernville United Methodist Church when Troy was pastor there. Glenda & I stayed in touch via computer until Jan when my computer crashed and then recovered in Feb but was wondering why I had no new messages from her.. She will be missed.

Jeff, I met your wonderful Mom in the late 50's when she was a young English teacher at PUHS and was involved in our Y-Teen group. Even then she had that trademark smile and sweet and easy disposition. Over the years she became a personal friend of mine as well as my mother Marie, and my sister Judie and we each cherished her friendship. Troy and Glenda were blessings to so many people, and there is comfort in knowing they have been re-united in Heaven. Peace, Comfort and blessings to you Jeff.

Jeff,
I shared a classroom with your mom during my first year of teaching at Monache High School. I could always ask Glenda if I had a question about Grammar. I remember she would often chuckle at my idiosyncrasy for preferring to sit on top of a desk during department meetings. I also remember that if we were lucky, Glenda baked a special treat for the English Department meeting. When I expressed doubts about teaching, her smile and optimism would reassure me that yes, I could survive in the classroom. I will never forget Glenda, Shirley, Margaret, Joan, Ragbir, Dave, Drew, and John: What a great group of educators. Thank you Glenda. I hope you are reunited with your husband and enjoy an eternal life.

Mrs. Mead was the sweetest lady. Always encouraging and uplifting. She is resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior. Reunited with her husband of less than a year. Bless you.
