Mary Thompson for Foster Richards

February 15, 2021

My father, Foster Richards, and "Goodie" served together while stationed at Camp Miramar and overseas on the Solomon Island tour. I recently just received letters that dad wrote to his mother during his time in the service (1942-1945). In his letters there are many references to the adventures the two of them had. They liked to go to the movies and played many games of cribbage. Attached is a photo of Goodie with dad and two other chums. I would really like to hear from someone in the family. Goodie was a great friend to my father, but they had lost touch with each other. Foster passed on October 13, 1992.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how much pain your family and friends are going through. I can remember the day I lost my eldest sister to death. So painful. However I was really encouraged by one of the many promises that are found in gods word, at (John 5:25-28) it gives us hope. If you are a person of faith I know that you know God keeps all his promises. May this bring you a measure of hope as it did for me. My condolences.
