Joann Grillo

Middletown, NY
Joann Grillo of Middletown, a billing clerk at Crystal Run Healthcare and a longtime resident of the area, passed away on February 17, 2021 in the Kaplan Family Hospice, Newburgh, NY. She was 66.
The daughter of the late Salvatore and Anna Ercolano, she was born on October 30, 1954 in the Bronx NY. She was the widow of Joseph Grillo.
Survivors include her three children: Melissa Russell and husband, Joshua Morrill of Charlotte, NC, Kassia Grillo of Buffalo, NY, and Dan Grillo and his wife, McCall of Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Avery, Alyvia, Giuliana, and Eliot; her two great-grandchildren: Luna and Frankie; and her beloved fury companion, Mia.
Services will be held privately for the family. A celebration of life is being planned for all friends and family to take place later this year. Burial will be in the Wallkill Cemetery Phillipsburg, NY.

I knew Joann in high school. We hung out together all the time. Even after high school we hung out. She had such a great sense of humor always laughing.

Jo was a kind and giving friend to many. i am glad she was our neighbor and my friend. We have many great memories.
I said Goodbye 6 years ago when we moved to Texas. We stayed in touch and hoped she might get to visit.

Joann will be missed by many. Her heart, compassion and unselfishness were examples for everyone. She was always willing to lend a hand. She did work for animals and with her church. She truly was an angel on earth. Rest in God's grace and eternal peace Jo. Our prayers and sympathy to her family.
