Lela Stephens Obituary
Lela A. Stephens, of Middletown, died Sat., March 15, 2008 at ORMC Arden Hill Campus in Goshen. She was 102.
The daughter of the late Orrin and Anastasia Wilbur, she was born on July 19, 1905 in Montrose, PA.
She was the widow of Paul A. Stephens.
Mrs. Stephens was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Middletown for over 50 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy A. Sauer of Middletown; her son, Robert J. Stephens of Ellenville; her sister, Mary Elizabeth Lupold of Wilseyville, NY; 10 grandchildren; many great and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Paul L. Stephens and her infant daughter, June Marie.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 19 at the Wallkill Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NY.
