William J. Mennerich, a lifelong Town of Newburgh resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. He was 74.
Son of Virginia "Ginny" (Strangeway) and the late Arthur F. Mennerich, he was born on August, 10, 1946 in Newburgh, NY.
William was a retired Manager with I.B.M., East Fishkill, NY. He was a member of the Gardnertown United Methodist Church, Sigma Lambda Nu, and the Osiris Country Club. He was also an avid golfer.
In addition to his mother, William is survived by his wife, Kathy Mennerich; four sons: Dana W. (Penny) Mennerich, John A. Mennerich, and Aaron J. Mennerich, all of the Town of Newburgh, and Shanon A. (Erica) Mennerich of Wallkill; three brothers: Kenneth A. (Beverly) Mennerich, Donald R. Mennerich, and Robert R. Mennerich, all of the Town of Newburgh; four grandchildren: Caitlin (Jeremy) Girsch of the Town of Newburgh, Cassidy (Aldan) Race of Clarksville, TN, Ashton and Max; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Aldan; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
Memorial Visitation will take place 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 17 at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY. A Memorial Service will follow 6 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Due to the continued public health concerns, please know that there is an occupancy limitation which may cause a wait time, please be respectful of your time visiting. Facial covering must be worn in the funeral home at all times, and social distancing must be practiced.
Arrangements are under the care of White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550.
