Arthur Edward Bondy, 90, passed away on Sunday March 22, 2021. He was born in Yonkers, NY, the son of the late Harold and June Bondy.
Arthur grew up in Mt. Vernon, NY, and graduated from New York Military Academy, Lehigh University, and NYU for his graduate degree. Arthur served in the Army during the Korean War. He founded two manufacturing, import, and marketing companies, and served as president during his 50 year career.
Arthur loved music, and to read, play golf, and travel far and wide. But his real passions in life were the fight for civil rights, substance abuse prevention, and mental health advocacy. During the last two years, he served on the HOA board of his condominium association.
In addition to Jacqueline, his wife for 46 years, he is survived by his daughter, Jessica of Newport, Oregon; sister in law, Judith Byrne; nephews: Richard Jerome (Liz), David Jerome (Joelle), Sean Byrne (Wendy), Brenden (Alicia), Elise DeJong Jerome, and a loving group of great nieces and nephews! Arthur was predeceased by his son, Peter Bondy and wife, Heidi.
A private burial and memorial will be held at the family's discretion.
