BESSIE MCPHAIL WALDEN-MOSER 11/22/1927 - 05/06/2018 Bessie McPhail Walden-Moser passed away in her home at the age of 90 on May, 6, 2018 surrounded by her family. Bessie was born to Gertrude Botts McPhail and Daniel Joseph McPhail on November 22, 1927 in Oklahoma. Bessie attended Los Molinos High School. Then obtained a certificate as a Nurse's Aide from Shasta College. She worked for Shasta General Hospital in the pediatric ward for 8 years, Brentwood Convalescent for 17 years in Red Bluff, and Latimer's Pharmacy in Los Molinos for 7 years. Bessie was the president of Tehama Assembly Women's Ministry for 15 years, and held various church positions. She enjoyed handcrafting, crochet, sewing, and quilting. Gifts were always available to her grandchildren. Bessie married Walter F. Walden on February 4, 1945 and they were together for 53 years before he passed away in 1998. The couple raised 8 children together in the Anderson and Red Bluff area. Their children are: L. Arlene Chrisman of Red Bluff, CA Franklin D. Walden (Cynthia) of Eugene, OR Sandra L. Walton (James) of Gerber, CA Steve D. Walden (Kandie) of Reno, NV Eva N. Krois of Cole Camp, MO Eddie D. Walden (Lola) of Cole Camp, MO Mark D. Walden (Jonell) of Yuba City, CA David W. Walden (Diana) of Gerber, CA Bessie has 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Bessie married James D. Moser of Red Bluff in 2006. She was a stepmother to 7 adult stepchildren and numerous grands and greats. She leaves behind brother, Charles McPhail of MN and sisters, Thursey Boles of OK and Nell Snelson of CA. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers George, Kenneth, Howard, and Roy Gene and sisters Lillie and Velma. Her family appreciated the care she received at St. Elizabeth Hospital, by her in-home health nurse, Sarah, and our stepdad, James Moser. Services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Abundant Life Fellowship on Luther Rd, Red Bluff. Internment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Red Bluff.
