1928 - 2017 In Memoriam Condolences
GLORIA PAINO GEIGER MAY 29, 1928 ~ DECEMBER 26, 2017 Gloria was born on May 29, 1928, in the borough of Manhattan, in New York City. In the mid 1950's, she moved to San Francisco, California where she worked as a secretary. It was there that she met and married her sweetheart John, and their first child was born. They later moved to southern California, where they had two more children. In 1972, the family moved to the Bend area of Red Bluff. Starting in 1992, she and John began new life adventures moving them to Bozeman, Montana; then Woodland, California; and finally returning to Red Bluff. When in the Bend, she learned country life, including making jelly, canning vegetables, and even chasing cows back into the pasture. Gloria was a wonderful cook and loved to entertain. Later in life she took up needlepoint and created many beautiful pieces. She passed into the arms of Jesus on December 26, 2017. Her celebration of life will be held on Feb 2nd at 2pm in the chapel at the Veteran's Cemetery, in Igo. Immediately following the service her ashes will be placed with her husband's. She is survived by her Children: Marianne & husband Scott Oliver, Jane & husband Mark Stuart, and Michael & wife Diana Geiger; Grandchildren: Johanna, William, & Sam Oliver; E.Ma Stuart; and Evan & wife Holly, & J.D. Geiger; Great grandchildren: Chance & Wyatt Geiger.
