MARILYN SUE (DUNCAN) HENDERSON May 15, 1948 ~ May 14, 2018 Marilyn Sue (Duncan) Henderson, 69, passed away May 14, 2018, one day short of her 70th birthday. She passed comfortable in her home at Corning, CA after a short yet good spirited battle with cancer. Sue was born May 15, 1948, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the daughter of the late Clyde Duncan and Eva Zingrich. Sue's parents moved the family to Corning in 1949 where she graduated from Corning Union High School in 1966 and went on to earn her License of Cosmetology from Chico Beauty College. She settled and began work in Corning and was soon running her own business of 40 years, the Ingenue Beauty Salon. Sue was very active with the community in everything from business dealings, fundraisers, school events and social gatherings. Sue loved her family, friends, and home and was most often the hostess for family holidays and celebrations. Her home was always decorated for the season and she enjoyed her koi ponds, gardening, and baking pies. Sue's pride and joy in purpose became the Corning Junior Rodeo which she voluntarily managed and organized for many years. Sue was recently recognized by local entity for her many years of professional and personal community contribution and involvement. Sue is survived by her husband Willis "Bogy" Henderson: Children Rodney and Jon (Angie); Step children Todd (Ginny), Tami, Julee (Beth), Troy (Loni); Siblings Lois, Chuck and Beverly. Sue also leaves behind numerous grand children and great grand children, as well as many loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her step-son, Rusty (Annette-still living). There will be an open service at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Corning, June 1st at 10:00am. A private family gathering will occur after. At a later date to be announced there will also be an open gathering for all to celebrate Sue's life. Sincere appreciation to all who cared for and supported Sue and the family during her illness.
