In Memoriam Condolences

WILLIAM (BILL) GONZALES William (Bill) Gonzales born to Domingo and Marie Gonzales, passed away on February 3, 2018 at his home with family at his side after some years in declining health due to mesothelioma and heart trouble. His family moved to Red Bluff in 1934 and bought a ranch on Beegum Road. He joined the Navy in 1948 and soon after met and married his first wife, Peggy Hatfield. In 1950, when the Korean war broke out, he was aboard the Rowan DD782. His son, Bill Jr., was born during this time. His second son, Steve, was born in 1953. In 1958 he changed over to Airforce and was stationed at Paine AFB in Everett, WA. There he met and Married Pat, and they have been married almost 60 years. They have two daughters, Cindy Peterson and Debbie Gonzales. They have four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. Bill worked for 10 years at Diamond International after retiring from Airforce in 1969. His hobbies included fishing on the Sacto River, hog hunting, and deer hunting. He also enjoyed many vacations and did vacation often after retirement. He was well-loved by his family and friends and will be missed by all. Visitation will be held at the Chapel of Flowers on Walnut Street, Red Bluff, CA on February 15, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be held at Chapel of Flowers on February 16, 2018 at 11 a.m.,
