Evelyn was born April 24, 1925 in Winona, MN to Michael Kujak and Mary (Wantock) Kujak.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, John; brother, Art; parents, Michael and Mary.
Evelyn enlisted in the Army (W.A.C) 1945-1946. After the army, Evelyn graduated from the College of Saint Teresa in Winona, MN and moved to Spokane, WA to finish her schooling as a Lab Technician. Evelyn moved to Redding, CA. In 1950 she became one of the first X-Ray Technicians in the North State. Retiring from the Medical field after 50+ years of helping people.
Evelyn met and married John W. Butler in 1956. They enjoyed their cabin at Moose Camp as well as lots of traveling. Evelyn celebrated 60 years in Beta Sigma Phi sorority along with her sorority sisters and had an 88th birthday party at the same time.
Evelyn is survived by her son, John Butler Jr.; sister in law, Lois of MN; brother and sister in law, Bob and Patty Butler of CA; sister in law, Jeano Carnie of CA as well as various nieces and nephews.
There will be a Rosary at St. Joseph Church on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be at St. Joseph Church on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
Donations may be made to the Good News Rescue Mission, 3100 S. Market St. Redding, CA 96001.

Evelyn will surely be missed! I'm happy she gone to carry on with John, my Mom and dad and many other of their friends who have sense passed on. We will miss her. David and Susan Williams (Gib and Dannie's daughter).

My condolences to you and your family, John. I've known Evelyn since she worked for Dr. McCabe back in 1971. She was a very nice and thoughtful lady and will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Evelyn's passing. We had been next-door neighbors for almost 45 years. Rest in peace in a better place.
