Jerry was born in Hemet, CA to Rhea and Ray North on April 14, 1929. He was 84 years old when he passed. He graduated from Montebello High School and continued his education in engineering at East Los Angeles College. Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1952 and saw action in Korea. His home base was Peal, Hawaii. He married Vicki in 1959 and they started their married life in Pico Rivera, CA.
Jerry started his own business in 1963 at North Air Brake Equipment Co. in Vernon, CA; he was very successful. About 1983 he wanted to retire to Redding, CA. He had worked in the North State on the railroad when he was younger, never forgetting his love for the North State. Jerry enjoyed golfing at various golf courses and built a home for him and Vicki in Riverbend Subdivision. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his friends and family here in Redding.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Vicki J. North; son, Gerald R. North; step-son, Rick Adams; grandsons: Mathew North, Jerred North, Mitchell North, Nathan North (Becky) and Erik Adams; granddaughter, Tabitha; sister, Lucille Vogt; nieces, Sandra (George) Gradt and Carlene (Warren) Chadwick; nephews, Tony Ward and Allen (Heather) Ward.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on June 29, 2013 at our home.

Vicki, You've been on my mind and in my heart. I will miss seeing Jerry when I next visit Redding, but his warms smile and gentle way will always be in my memory. Love to you. Lee
