Linda Lou McDaniel
Redding, CA
Linda Lou McDaniel, 71, wife, mother, grandmother/nana, great grandmother, sister and dear friend to all, went home to be with Jesus, December 5, 2018, after a long illness.
Linda was born in Redding, CA on November 22, 1947 to William Arthur and Helen Lillian Goff. She grew up in Anderson, CA, was a 1965 graduate of Anderson Union High School and a life long resident of Shasta County. Linda was employed with P. G. & E. for 32 years as a Customer Service Representative until her retirement in 2009.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her love for her grandchildren was beyond measure. She spent many happy times camping on the north coast and combing the beaches for agates. She spent one Friday night a month, for the past 20 plus years, playing Bunco with a wonderful group of women, some of whom were life long friends. One thing that stood out about Linda was her infectious laugh. Her friends, admittedly, would use her laugh as a tracking device.
Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jimmy McDaniel, their three daughters, Pamela (Ron), Melody (Randy)and Bobi (Jeff). She was a devoted grandmother/nana to nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Helen, her father, Arthur, and sister, Diana. She is survived by her brother Larry.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday , December 15, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Anderson Church of Christ, 3434 North Street in Anderson. A private, family burial will follow at Anderson Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Allen & Dahl Funeral Home at 2030 Howard Street, Anderson.

If we could have patented Linda's laugh, we would have made a million bucks, because you don't hear laughs like that anymore. She was one of the first people I ever knew, and no obituary can possibly do justice to the person she was. Linda was always connected to family, and one of few who always lived in the present. She never seemed to age, as she was always beautiful, and all of us will treasure her memory.....

OMG...how does one summerize a message for such a kind, awesome, beautiful and sometimes sparky woman?
Linda and I go way back...1952 kindergarten. I remember her blonde hair because I was so jealous. I wanted to be a blonde too.
Linda and I experienced so much together as children, adults, new brides, mothers, grandmothers and the Golden Years...I'm still waiting for the gold to arrive.
Jimmy, Pam, Melody and Bobi Jo i want you all to know I keep you in my prayers and thoughts.
I am so sorry for your loss and I know I am joined by so many many more people whose lives have been touched by Linda.
So long for now my friend...until we meet again I will love you.
Much love and Aloha,
Cecilia

Where do I even begin? I started Kindergarten in her same class when Linda and I were 5 years old, and our friendship has continued through all these years.
Her smile could light up a room and her laughter was oh so infectious. We shared soooo many laughs, playing Bunco together, monthly, for the past 20 plus years.and also when she came to get her haircut, we did some serious beauty shopping (settling the woes of the world)! There was always laughter when she was around!
You, her family were always her number one priority, and the beat of her great big loving heart. She loved you all fiercely. She was an equally loving friend, and she always made sure you knew how she felt about you.
My own heart is so saddened, that I can't even begin to know how you all are feeling., but one thing I do know is where she is today, and she has no more pain and no more sickness, and she no longer has to be concerned about what she shouldn't eat or drink.
Allow your precious memories, of all the good times you have shared, to bring you comfort .
I will hold you all close in thoughts and prayers in the days ahead, as we all learn how to live without her.
She was truly one of my forever friends and I will miss her terribly , but I know I will see her again one day..
My love to each of you with much sympathy

Linda was an awesome woman and a lovely lady. I say that with the greatest respect and admiration. The love she had for her family and friends was known to everyone. I think she was one of those people that didn't have a mean bone in her body, and her laugh was unmistakeable and contagious. I knew her for over 25 years and was honored when they asked me to join their Bunco group. Without going into detail, for your sake and mine, the words diaphragm and girth were always sure to bring a delightful heart felt laugh from my little Dude Linda. I have seen her evil eye look when she was protecting her cubs. Fortunately, I wasn't on the receiving end, AND would not want to be. She will be terribly missed but thought of often with lots and lots of love and smiles.
