It's hard to believe it's already been another year. Richard was my neighbor. We had a lot of interesting conversations. He was a bright man. I send my condolences to his family.

I was Richard's neighbor for a while. He told me that he was a Wintu Indian Chief. A lot of people may not be aware of this. We had very interesting conversations. He was one of the neatest people I have ever known in the North State. He was a smart man and well spoken. I was saddened to hear of his departure. May he rest in peace; and I send my condolences to his family.

Several years ago I lived in the same apartment complex as Richard. Occasionally we would run into each other and talk. Richard was intelligent, and we had a shared interest in the subject of UFO's. Several times we did some stargazing at night, and saw interesting things. Richard had spoken about us going on a trip to Mt. Shasta, when he got his new vehicle, but unfortunately he moved out, soon after he got the vehicle, so we never made the trip. I truly miss Richard and our conversations. I send my condolences to his family.

I was his neighbor, and we had interesting talks. I miss seeing him walking around. We were going to take a trip to Mount Shasta, but he moved, and this never happened. He was hoping to go to a school in England (I think England). He was intelligent and articulate.

Richard Lyn Potter ~ He was the guy who always showed up with something to share. He always had a story to tell. He was connected to mother earth. He was connected to the spirit world and to God. A builder, he made the most beautiful hand made chairs designed with driftwood from the northern California coast.
He believed in the healing force of crystals and in the protection of dream catchers. His stories were big, all the way from England, where kings and queens became family and to far off lands that became ours. He was the man who held endless truths about life and afterlife.
He loved to help his family and friends by building and fixing. He loved spending time at home with his sons and grandchildren. Richard was a man who came and went. He came and went too quickly...
He will be missed every time he doesn't show up and every time his story isnt told. But he will be remembered for all that he gave while he was here.

RIP my old friend. He had a gift with his stories even long ago at Shasta. The ultimate spinner of yarn. Very, very funny guy.
