My condolences to you Mrs. Ehlers and family. I was saddened to hear of Mr. Ehlers passing. Mr. Ehlers was my 5th and 6th grade teacher at Superior Street school. He was one of those teachers that made a great impression and I learned lots from. He was very serious about his teaching and stern when necessary. He was intent on preparing us for junior high school, both acedemically and emotionally, and he was very successful. Over the years, I often wondered what he was up to. I am glad to know he lived a long life. I am truly grateful for his teachings. Many Blessings!

My sympathies to your family. Mr. Elhlers was my 6th grade teacher at Justice Street Elementary School (1972-73) and I still think of him with great fondness. He knew when to use a light touch, never took himself too seriously, and made us feel welcome in the classroom every single day.
