Dennis Flynn Obituary
Dennis Flynn

It is with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that the Flynn family announces Dennis Flynn died on Monday, April 9, 2018, at the age of 73. Dennis was born to Frank and Eugenie Flynn in Hamilton, Ontario Canada in 1944. He attended elementary and middle school in Hamilton and graduated from Westdale High School, where he met his high school sweetheart Cheryl. They were married in 1968 after graduating from State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY). In 1972, Dennis earned a medical degree from McGill University in Montreal. He practiced family medicine in Burlington, Ontario Canada before moving to Redlands in 1979 and co-founding Community Family Medical Group in San Bernardino, which subsequently became part of Beaver Medical Group. During his career as a physician, Dennis was the Chief of Staff at Community Hospital in San Bernardino, the President of the San Bernardino County Medical Society and a member of various medical organizations in the State of California. After returning to school and earning a Master of Business Administration from the University of Redlands in 1997, Dennis retired from practicing medicine. He started a second career as the Vice President of Medical Affairs at Epic Management, a position he held until retiring a second time in 2012. Dennis was a member of the Rim of the World Riders for many years. He loved to read about and play golf at Redlands Country Club, (not always successfully to his chagrin). An avid reader, Dennis had a wonderful sense of humor and wit. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Redlands for over thirty years. Dennis was an individual with deep faith who loved his family, friends and community.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl, his sons Ryan, Sean and Connor and his four grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2 pm on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Redlands.
