Born in Raymond Minnesota in 1932, moved to the California sunshine at age 8 with the Wybenga family. Attended the Christian School on Clay street and the Christian Reformed Church on Church Street. She meet and Married a dutchman from Holland and lived with him and her family in Mentone in the same house for all their 66 married years. What a blessing this special lady was to so many people in her life. She was the best mother, homemaker, handmaiden of the Lord a person could every be. She welcomed friends and family near and far to their home any day and time of the year. Greeting them with a warm heart, love and a homemade goodies. She also along with her husband where the best caregivers for their daughter Jane who just recently passed in December. Our hearts smile knowing they are together in heaven whole again. We thank the Lord for our time we had with both of them. The last 15 years were spent fighting the effects of Parkinson's which finally won. She lives behind her remaining 3 children, their families, 12 grand children, 14 +2 great grand children and 2 siblings. We are thankful that Lydia passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home among family and friends. Donations can be made to The River Church Hospitality and Care Committee.
