Shirley Anne (Willison) Kerr(1932 - 2019)

Shirley A. Kerr, 86, Red Oak, passed away on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, in her home in Red Oak.
Shirley Anne Kerr, the daughter of Franklin and Mary (Gilkerson) Willison, was born May 31, 1932, in Clarinda. Shirley was raised on a farm near Clarinda. In high school, she worked for a frosty shop and in 1950, graduated from Clarinda High School.
Shirley was united in marriage to Lowell Kerr on Feb. 22, 1951, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, and they made their home on a farm in Mortons Mill. Shirley was an active lady; she loved to swim, play cards, make crafts, cross-stitch and read. She enjoyed traveling, taking cruises and gambling. Shirley was also very involved with ladies circles, TOPS and helping in the community. She loved spending five months of the year in California and enjoyed attending the Lawrence Welk Theater. While in California, Shirley belonged to the Lions Club and Red Hat Society. In autumn of 2010, Shirley and Lowell moved to Red Oak, where they attended Faith Community Church. Shirley loved her daughters dearly, along with being a part of her family's many activities.
Shirley was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wilmer Gilkerson; parents; and sister, Joan Miller.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Lowell Kerr of Red Oak; four daughters and their spouses, Sheryl and Mike Robertson of Bend, Ore., Conni and Stephen Reichert of Las Vegas, N.M.; Kathy and Kim Jamison of Briarcliff, Texas; and Merri Sorden and companion Russ Wood of Creston; eight grandchildren, Dane Robertson, Conor Reichert, Collin Reichert, Catalina Reichert, Kane Jamison, Kimina Jamison, Maclaine Sorden and Candace Sorden; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter and Walker Robertson; Eli, Lilly and Malia Reichert; Ossian Jamison; and Zuri Reichert; and brother, Franklin Howard Willison of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery at Mortons Mill. Dr. William Artherholt will officiate.
Visitation with the family present on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, from 4 – 6 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home.
