Steven George Harshaw, 78, Glenwood, passed away Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.
Steven was born June 9, 1942, in Red Oak, the son of George and Frances (Seabloom) Harshaw. He was raised in Red Oak, graduating from Red Oak High School in 1961.
He served in the U.S. Army and then worked as a baker at Hunts Super Value for many years until moving to the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. He retired from the Glenwood State School.
Steven was united in marriage to Bonita Dady Stahl on April 9, 1983, in Red Oak. They made their home in Glenwood.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and wife, Bonita Harshaw.
Survivors include his sister, Sue Nelson and husband Wayne of Carrollton, Ga.; nieces, Kathy Kirk and husband Gary of Carrollton, Ga.; and Sarah Wiggins and husband Alan of Cedartown, Ga.; nephew, Jeff Nelson and wife Leslie of St. Simons Island, Ga.; great-nephews, Oscar Kirk of Atlanta, Ga.; and Hunter Kirk of Carrollton, Ga.; great-nieces, Sofie Runyon of Cedartown, Ga.; and Mary Harmon Nelson of St. Simons Island, Ga.; cousins, Jon, Peter, and Jo Will; and other relatives and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak.
Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
