My sweet, dear friend, Ann Frances.
Hearing about your loss has deeply saddened me. My only consultation is that I know you are now at peace and happy to be in the arms of your dear, long time friend, Steve.

I am so very thankful to have had such wonderful memories from the many walks, talks and laughter we shared when teaching at the old Vogel School and TMS.
You will always be remembered as a true friend and colleague. I will always love you.

Sadly, I bid farewell to one of my dearest friends. We shared over 40 years of memories. We taught school together, vacationed together and shared many family gatherings “Zelda”, you always said that I was the only one that could make you laugh May this tribute bring a smile to your face.

I am so sad to hear this news. Ms. Gensch was my middle school English teacher and always encouraged my love of writing. She had a way of making stuffy literature feel relatable for a bunch of awkward pre-teens. I can still picture her sitting on her desk in one of her long dresses, cracking jokes, and telling stories. Today, I am a writer for a philanthropic organization, and I count Ms. Gensch as one of the excellent Torrington teachers who gave me confidence and prepared me for this role. I’m sure I am just one of many former students who can say the same about her. My condolences to her family. She made quite an impact.

Through out the many, many years we've known each other, she has always been a smart, fun loving friend. Students were lucky to have her as their teacher. So long friend, I hope you and Steve are keeping the laughs going upstairs. Love you.

My sincere sadness on Ann's passing. I knew Ann over the past 29 years. Always kind, loving and ready to ask how the next person was doing. Lovely, lovely lady.

Far too early for one of the best.

She's doing her good work from above.

Much love,

Jim and I were very shocked and saddened to hear of Ann’s passing. We had been best friends for many, many years. Ann and I shared countless adventures since we were in High school. She was the maid of honor in my wedding and I was fortunate and grateful to have such a caring, smart and loving friend. I am sorry for her suffering but now am thankful that she is at peace, in Heaven with her family and the love of her life, Steve.
My condolences to her family.
PS I hope to see some dragonflies.
Love, Jim and Chris Ross

I’ve known Ann since 1963 when we were in 7th grade at Vogel Junior High (original Torrington High School). We had SO many fun times all through many years. She and I both taught school in Torrington. We will all miss such a GREAT and SMART person. Rest In Peace Ann. Much love, Lynn Ann Cianciolo

Al, I am so sorry to read about Ann Francis. We all grew up on Crestwood Rd together. When my boys were young, she would babysit on a Sat. night. When my Michael died, she wrote me the most heartwarming letter I have ever read. She was a beautiful young lady, always with a smile. I will always miss her, Andy, and Mary Ellen. You were much younger, but I am sure you remember all of the kids on the street.
