Floyce McCall Obituary
Floyce McCall, peacefully passed away, early last month, at home during evening prayers. Floyce was born on historic Choctaw lands in Oklahoma. She grew up, during the Great Depression, in scenic small communities in New Mexico's Sierra Blanca Mountain Range and Oregon's Willamette Valley. Following World War II, Floyce married, the love of her life, Austin A. McCall. They were blessed with over 50 wonderful years of marriage. Throughout her married life, Floyce worked side-by-side with Austin, building the family's residential construction and rental business. Floyce's treasure was her long, abiding, personal relationship with the Lord Jesus, and her loving bond with family, friends and neighbors, both near and far. The very essence of Floyce's life is best captured by the gospel song lyric: "This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine!"

Floyce was preceded in death by her husband Austin; parents Marcus and Doll; parents-in-law Marion and Irene; sisters Lola Mae and Jane and brother-in-law Jack. Floyce is survived by her son Michael; daughter Carol and son-in-law Mac; son Nicholas; grandsons Scott and Jason; sisters Jackie (Rod) and Lloydene (Richard); brother-in-law Leroy; and many other loved ones.

Affectionate gratitude goes to each and every one of Floyce's many tender caregivers at Sacred Heart Hospice.

Floyce's Celebration of Life Service will be Sunday, January 27, 2019, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Springfield, 1175 G Street, Springfield, Oregon 97477. For those attending, thank you for accommodating those with serious fragrance allergies by not wearing perfume, cologne or other scented products. Private committal occurred early this month at Springfield Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Springfield or Eugene First Church of the Nazarene.
