Paul Grant Macauley
May 27, 1939 - May 3, 2021
Paul Grant Macauley of the Mohawk Valley went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 3, 2021 at the age of 81. Paul was born at home in the Lynx Hollow area of Creswell, Oregon on May 27, 1939 to John Macauley and Jimmie Preuit Macauley. He graduated from Cottage Grove High School in 1959, and afterward attended Boise Bible College. He then labored as a timber cutter for Weyerhaeuser, where he worked for thirty-seven years. On August 28, 1960, he married the love of his life, Arlene Aird. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Macauley; his daughters, Anne Macauley and Julie (Andrew) Tow; his son, Philip Macauley; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul took great joy in hunting, shooting, and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He was most at home in the outdoors, tending to his apple orchard, garden, sheep, and yard. He had an excellent memory and loved to tell stories. He worked hard and was generous to all he knew. He was a dutiful family man and a faithful Christian.
A celebration of his life will occur at 1:00 PM on May 22, 2021 at Creswell Pioneer Cemetery, 82738 Howe Lane, Creswell, OR 97426. A gathering for family and friends will follow at Harry Holt Memorial Park, 83200 North Harvey Road, Creswell, OR. Arrangements have been entrusted to Andreason's Cremation and Burial Services of Springfield. Memorial tributes may be directed to Boise Bible College or Sonrise Christian Church.

We don't live in a perfect world, but Paul was almost a perfect human if that could be possible. A gentle soul! I'm sure he is dancing around God's throne. Blessed to have known him.
