Tom kept me informed on our celestial happenings. He would warmly greet me each morning at work with these lovely updates as to what was happening in the galaxies above. We shared stories and laughter and great hugs.
Out friendship was authentic, as Tom was authentic. He was a a sweet soul, and I’ve missed him since he left our area many years ago.
Gladly, two weeks ago I unexpectedly saw him and was able to express my friendship and love to him. He was happy and light in his manner. This is how I remember him.
My deepest sympathies to his family both by blood and by choice. There are many.
With love, Lisa Smith, RN

Oh, Chris, girls, I'm so so saddened. Tom was such a big part of my early life at the church: kind and funny and patient and earnest. I counted him among that wide circle of friendship that brings goodness just knowing he was out there. I am so terribly sorry for this loss in your lives, and in the world. Sending you all love in this tender time.
