My Dear Aunt Joyce, a special and vibrant woman of God. We saw each other as I was growing up. I remember visits to her farm in the summers, special birthdays (I sat in her cake for one of them and left my imprint for everyone to see!). From her I learned that life is joyful no matter the circumstance. She showed me that one can be a beautiful woman and still work really hard. She delighted in the practical part of life- making cheese, yogurt, or cottage cheese. And oh yes, like all my Aunties in the Janke family, she reminded me of my dear, sweet mother. The bond Opal, Joyce, and Ethel shared with my mom left a wonderful legacy of sibling love, forgiveness, and togetherness. Now she has joined the circle of our family in heaven. I just can't wait to be with Jesus, and her and the rest of the Janke tribe, and dad, and sing the praises of God's goodness throughout life. Her fragrance is lovely and cherished and not soon forgotten.

What a blessing that I got to spend some time with my dear sister last year. What a precious sister -- I shall miss you so very much. You have so many of our loved ones in heaven with you -- what a reunion!
