Kent James Eubanks, 64, of Loveland went home to be with the Lord January 12, 2015 at home with his family by his side. He was born December 14, 1950 in Cincinnati, OH to Marvin and Catherine (Hromyak) Eubanks. Kent grew up in Illinois and graduated from Wheaton North High School. Kent met the love of his life, Shirley Swaddling, at Kent State University where his parents also had met and for which he was named. They were married at the Newman Center on campus in 1972. Kent and Shirley lived in Ohio until 1977 when they moved to Washington state. They moved to Colorado in 1987. Kent was a director of sales in transportation; he worked for Kroger, Associated Grocers and Carrier Transicold. He was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland. Kent was a dedicated family man who was loved and respected by all. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. Kent loved spending time with his grandchildren who gave him a purpose and were his life line. Kent is survived by his wife Shirley; son Jonathan David (Allison) Eubanks of North Bethesda, MD; daughter Kelli Jean (Josh) Colburn of Loveland; grandchildren Kailin Ione and Peyton James Colburn of Loveland; sister MaryAnn (Rick) Welch of WA; brothers Scott (Jeri) Eubanks of WA and David (Lori) Eubanks of PA; his sister-in-laws Jane and Patti Eubanks; aunt Irene Walsh; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Drew and Mark Eubanks; dear aunts and uncles and cherished friends. After a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma, Kent is now at peace in his Heavenly home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Rosary to begin at 10am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am Saturday, January 17, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kent Eubanks Memorial Fund in care of Wells Fargo Bank.
