The journey on earth for Kevin ended on July 22, 2013 due to a massive heart attack. A loved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, son and friend and he will be missed. Kevin found great joy in racing cycles, snowboarding, fishing and hunting. Kevin was born in Reno, NV on November 27, 1961 He was preceded in death by his father Richard Lund and is survived by wife Katie Olvera Lund, daughters Monica Souliere and Olivia Lund, two granddaughters, Mercedes and Marinah, and a grandson Damian. Also, by his mother Doris Lund, sisters Cathy Hamilton, Debbie Kanipe and Kristin Clayton and brothers Craig Lund, Wayne Lund, Rick Lund and David Lund. Kevin is also survived by over 30 nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Kevin was raised in Sparks, Nevada where he graduated from Sparks High. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served two stints totaling approximately 8 years and specialized in Heavy Equipment Maintenance and wrestled for the Marine West Coast team. He later moved to Elko, Nevada where he worked for Independence Gold for 10 years. He then moved to Boise, Idaho where he got his Bachelors degree in computer networking where he met his wife Katie. After eight years in Boise they relocated to Salt Lake City where Kevin went back into mining. He had been employed at Kennecott Copper as a truck shop supervisor for 5 years.

He is gone from us too soon but will be remembered always.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapels located at 1007 West South Jordan Pkwy, South Jordan, Utah 84095. Burial will be in Nampa Idaho.
