Peter Morros Obituary
Reno - Peter "Pete" Morros, age 81 made his journey home to be with the love of his life Irene F. Morros, his grandson, Joshua Peter Morros, and his granddaughter Elizabeth Teresa Morros on April 3, 2018. He passed peacefully at his residence surrounded by love from his son, John, his daughter in-law, Teresa, granddaughter, Lora Ann his great grandson, Aybel and his 3 dedicated pups, Rosie, Bella and Lucy.
Coming from Ruth, Nevada Pete lived a "Cinderella" life marrying Irene Fontana when he was just 15 years old. Quickly thereafter they had two children. He was never a stranger to hard work as he worked in mining and construction in the summers while attending college in the fall. Pete obtained a degree in 1962 from the University of Nevada in Civil Engineering, immediately following he accepted a job with the State of Nevada. During his long career of 38 years he worked under 8 governors and created a new meaning to being director of Conservation and Natural Resources. After retirement Pete formed a private consulting company where up till his death he still helped clients with their water rights. Pete is survived by his 2 children, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was most proud of his relationship with his extended family in Reno, Ely, San Francisco, San Diego and Greece.
Services with more of his accomplishments and the fun crazy life of Peter Morros will be held on Thursday, April 12th at Summit Christian Fellowship, 7075 Pyramid Hwy, Sparks, Nevada at 1 pm. Immediately following will be a reception for family and friends at Coney Island Bar and Grill, 2644 Prater Way, Sparks. Celebration of Life will also take place in Ely, Nevada on May 19th, 2018. A private entombment is planned later at the Masonic Memorial Gardens, Reno.

Graduated in Civil Engineering with Pete from UNR in 1962 - enjoyed some of his stories about his days/nights working in the mines to make enough money to attend the University - he went on to a long and fruitful career in engineering - a good man.

Pete was a great friend, neighbor, and person. He will be remembered always along with Irene and the rest of the family. Had many laughs and fun times with them. Rest in Peace our friend. Ron & Carolyn
