Viola E. Bowles

Reno - Viola E. Bowles, 92, of Manassas, Virginia, formerly of Reno, Nevada, died with defiant grace on Monday, August 6, 2018, with the knowledge that she was loved and cherished by her family. Viola was born in Roseville, California on December 30, 1925. She was married to William M. Bowles for 56 years.

She is survived by her son, William T. Bowles; daughter, Cheryl K. Yentes (Richard); grandsons: Henry J. Becker IV (Kara), Ryan A. Yentes, Joshua Yentes (Ching Ching), Morgan Y. Sluder, and Mason Sluder; granddaughters: Heidi Becker, Jena R. Yentes and Jessica J. Bowles; great-grandchildren: Atiana, J.J. and Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bowles and daughters, Nancy L. Burmeister and Georgeanna.

Viola loved her family, cared for her friends and always had a smile for everyone. Meeting Viola she greeted you with a joyous, welcoming smile, and clasped your hands in hers. She was genuinely interested in the people she met. Viola was humorous, sentimental and boldly honest.

Viola was extremely devoted to her family and her church and was known as a mighty prayer warrior. From her mouth to Gods ear. Her family would like everyone to know that her Mission on earth is complete, she received a call from God with an offer she couldn't refuse. She is on a new mission, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time..

Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Walton's - Ross, Burke & Knobel Mortuary, 2155 Kietzke Lane, Reno Nevada with a Graveside Service on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada.
