Beatrice Elizabeth Pena Ornellas

Reno - Beatrice Elizabeth Pena Ornellas, known to all as Bea, passed away peacefully October 27, 2020. All her children and family were present.

Bea was born to Adelaida and Casimiro Pena on December 9, 1928 in Tamaulipas, Mexico. Her childhood was spent mostly in Northeast Nevada in the small towns of Rowland, Jarbidge and Lee where her father worked at farming and ranching. She was the youngest of seven children: five brothers and two girls.

Bea was married to James Anthony Ornellas for 74 years. They lived in Nevada all their married life. They had five children: two girls and three boys. The oldest being Marie Antoinette (Toni), Linda Louise, James Anthony Jr. (Sonny) who tragically lost his life in 1972, David Joseph and Paul Victor. Bea was blessed with nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Bea had a career as a PBX operator at Sahara Tahoe Casino for many years, and very proud of working for Bently's in Minden, Nevada.

She loved family, a good book to read, music, singing, whistling and tending to her indoor, outdoor plants. She had quite the green thumb. Bea was known to always be busy as a bee, a great life spirit, a spunky sense of humor and for her love of the Lord, Jesus Christ. She will be missed greatly.
