Paulette Marthe Therese White Obituary
Paulette Marthe Therese White

Reno - Paulette Marthe Therese White passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 11:00am at her home in Reno, NV. Under the care of the wonderful staff at Summerdale Homes, Paulette was loved and treated with dignity to the very end.

Born Paulette Dufay on May 14, 1927 in Normandy, France. As a young girl, while the Germans were preparing for the landing of the Allied Forces, Paulette accompanied General Rommel to translate to the citizens what was about to transpire in the City of Normandy (she spoke five languages!). Paulette went on to marry John White, a US Army Intelligence Officer, on May 29, 1948, at Saint Catherine's Church in Honfleur, France. Paulette then came to Reno as part of the War Brides Act.

Paulette had a love for fashion, even owning her own local boutique. Paulette also enjoyed working for Porsche in downtown Reno. She was a "woman about town," having many friends that would visit her often. She was an incredibly smart and worldly woman with a witty intellect. Paulette was the life of the party at every event she attended. She will be missed by all that knew her.

A funeral service will be held at Saint Therese Church of the Little Flower on Thursday, November 15 at 4:00.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to all of the staff at both Lakeside Manor and Summerdale Homes. You were all Paulette's angels here on earth.
