Barbara, Jay and Kelly I'm sincerely sorry for your loss.
At Petersburg HS in the late 1960s, Coach Porach was a great Teacher and Motivator to many young men and women. He coached life lessons - always pushing for us to advance our education and careers. His life's work epitomized Service to our Youth, to our Nation. BRAVO ZULU! (Navy Signal flags for a job Well Done!). CAPT R. C. Rush, USN (Ret.) PHS 71

Mr. Porach (Boss) you will be missed. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you for 3 years at MBK as one of your AP's I truly enjoyed our lunch times together and our socials gatherings. Even though I did not work for you at Petersburg HS, I was a teacher at Peabody Jr. HS and people would speak very highly of you. Our conversations about our military experiences were great too. The Admin team you put together: Ceil, Gary and I enjoyed working for a great Leader. Mrs. Porach (Barbara) thank you for allowing Mr. Porach to leave you 5 days a week to work at MBK where he was needed by the students and staff. Well Boss I salute you. Theodore (Ted) Reynolds

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Porach. I felt he was a good principal at Meadowbrook and always had the best interests of the kids there in everything he did and said. It was a pleasure to have met him and work with him while our oldest daughter was at MBK and in the band. May God give you, his family and friends, peace, comfort and strength. Beth and Bruce Johnson

He will always be Coach Porach to me. He became Head Football Coach PGHS in 1964. He was young, enthusiastic and a good teacher. We lost every game that year, but he handled it with class and said next year we'd be better. We were.
He was not much older than the Seniors, he could still show you what to do With the ball and he loved showing off those skills!
I had not seen him for many years, but I will always remember at our 30th reunion he came up to me and said why did you change the play call on the goal line? If your from PG you'll remember that call! It cost us our first win over Petersburg. But he wasn't mad, he just hadn't forgotten that call after 30 years! He always ribbed me about it. .
A few years ago he called me and asked about the next reunion. He said he wanted to come and see the guys. He was a loyal, fun loving, serious and competing guy. He was my friend. I will miss him. Bill
