Mary Ann Bogacki, 83, of 37 Mapleview Drive in Ridgway, died Thursday morning, Nov. 8, 2018, at Penn Highlands Elk following a brief illness.
She was born April 24, 1935, in Ridgway, daughter of the late William and Margaret (Flannigan) Murray. She married John F. (Jack) Bogacki on Nov. 19, 1955, he survives. She resided in Ridgway all her life and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. She was a graduate of the Ridgway High School class of 1955. She had been a Girl Scout leader for many years.
She is survived by her husband John F. (Jack) Bogacki of Ridgway and by the following children: John W. Bogacki of Ridgway; Barbara A. Bogacki of Ridgway; Edith Marie (Kenneth Schneider) Martin of Ridgway; eight grandchildren: Travis J. Martin, John J. (Brandy) Bogacki, Diana N. Martin, William Bogacki, Jake (Brittany) Bogacki, Stacey L. Martin, Carly Popson, and Michael Popson; two great-grandchildren: Tanner Dickant and Avery Bogacki; two sisters: Linda Murray of Elizabethtown, and Peggy (Charlie) Shilk of Brockway; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ann Bogacki will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Monday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Memorials, if desired, can be made to the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
